In 2018, Mustefa began exporting coffee after regulatory changes allowed direct sales to buyers. He established the "Beshasha" wet mill, processing both his and local outgrowers' coffee. His collaboration with Falcon in Addis Ababa focuses on quality improvements, farm management, and direct benefit for farmers.
In 2021, agronomist Harun joined, leading efforts to improve processing, such as installing shade netting, optimizing cherry selection, and monitoring moisture levels. Mustefa also runs a field lab to ensure uniform drying and quality grading. He trains local farmers in good agricultural practices (GAP) to elevate coffee quality.
Mustefa’s investments include a modern warehouse for Natural coffee processing and acquiring four additional cherry-purchasing sites in 2022. These strategic expansions strengthen his capacity to source top-tier cherries and foster community development in coffee-growing regions.
